RLR – Mike Smith are intending to run their 2nd Ligier LMP3 in the Road to Le Mans Series (Michelin Le Mans Cup). The Series will run alongside ELMS in 2017, with the addition of a 2 hour race on the Saturday morning of the main Le Mans 24 Hour event. The Championship will run a 2 hour sprint race format for 2 drivers, given there are no LMP2 cars involved there is a distinct possibility for an overall race win. The 2 driver format also makes economic sense for all concerned. The Road to Le Mans Series also offers prize money and automatic entry into ELMS for the following season.
“We are looking for outright wins” commented Mike Smith. Nick Reynolds, Team Principal, added “Whilst we have several irons in the fire we would like to settle the driver line up as soon as possible to enable testing to get underway”.
Nick will be on the Ligier stand at the Racing Car show in January on the Thursday and Friday and can be contacted on 0044 (0) 7711 888901 or firstname.lastname@example.org
