Another great race weekend for us in both the European Le Mans Series and the Michelin Le Mans Cup races.

We qualified 18th in the Le Mans Cup race (14th LMP3 car) and a truly stunning first stint by Alex Kapadia put us in 2nd place behind the Norma which is the faster car. This did not go unnoticed by the TV cameras and the crowd alike as he carved his way through the field and eventually emerged from the car as exhausted as you would expect from a guy that gave his all. Ross Warburton was then in for his stint but, unfortunately, we picked up a pitstop penalty and had to serve a 3 second stop / go penalty but Ross kept his cool and after another sterling effort brought the car home in 5th place.

For the ELMS race we qualified 14th and once again Alex was in the car for the start. Another great drive got us up to 8th place when John Farano took to the wheel, as the bronze driver he had a long stint to deal with in the Austrian heat and after an hour and 45 minutes he emerged after holding his own in this ultra competitive race series. Once again we saw a driver that had given his all, completely exhausted and it was now over to Morten Dons for the final stint on the 4 hour race. Morten was hoping for rain, as was forecast, for his stint in the hope that it would mix things up and come down in our favour as he has an enviable track record in wet conditions. The cars in front of us were now too far ahead to catch and the rain never came but, as you would expect, Morten gave it everything to chase the cars ahead and for quite a period of time was the fasted LMP3 car on track but there was just too much to do. He brought the car home in a solid 8th place.

Enjoy our photo gallery and we’ll be back with more LMP3 action at Le Castellet (Paul Ricard) on the 27th August.
