Autodromo Internacional do Algarve
Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is a 4.69km race circuit near the town of Portimão, in the south of Portugal.
The 100,000-capacity venue, designed by Portuguese architect Ricardo Pina, was constructed in just seven months and held its first event one month after its inauguration in November 2008.
The Portimão circuit hosted its first Le Mans Series race – the 1000km do Algarve – in August 2009 and returned to the European Le Mans Series schedule in 2017, its undulating layout providing a highly challenging and technical mix of fast and slow-speed corners and massive gradient changes.
